Saigoku Kaido starts in 'Tojiguchi' in Kyoto and travels through 'Mukomachi' to 'Settsu'. It is very ancient road which was the main route for people traveling from Kyoto to the western counties. In 1992 it was renovated as a foot path and the old houses along the road were preserved to add to the atmosphere.
