Sepou-ishi is a big stone to the south of the big torii (gate) in Muko Shrine. In about1307 AD it is said that Nichizou Shounin, who was prohibited from promoting the Nichiren sect in Kyoto, defied the ban and stood on this stone to explain the sect's doctrine to the people traveling on the Sai-goku Kaido (Road).
