- Bamboo

More than 90% of bamboo in Muko City is Moso Bamboo. The Moso bamboo shoots are very thick and meaty and feel soft to your teeth when you bite. Muko City is very proud of the bamboo's top quality.
Among the Moso Bamboo variety the white skin bamboo (Shirako) is very familiar as a top grade product. It does not have such a strong flavor and is very soft. It can be eaten boiled, marinated with vinegar or fried.
- Eggplant(or aubergine)
- Egg plant (or aubergine) is probably the second famous special product of Muko City. Muko City eggplant is very meaty and has a very shiny skin. It is as popular as bamboo shoots because of its excellent quality.
- Overhanging cliff chrysanthemum
- It is said that this chrysanthemum copies the graceful shape of a very old tree naturally overhanging a cliff. The Overhanging cliff chrysanthemum started by using Madake 'Tanagai Growth' and now has a tradition going back 80 years. Cultivators today use the 'Azedate Growth' and Muko City is the only place where this is grown in the Kinki area
- Poinsettia
- Muko City grows many kinds of cut flower such as poinsettia, primula and begonia. Muko City is perhaps the most well known area for poinsettia production in Kyoto Prefecture. It is specially famous as a flower at Christmas time
